A New Era for Australian Fashion Week – Stanmart’s Continued Commitment to the Creative Industry

As Australian Fashion Week 2025 ushers in a new generation of leadership and creative direction, we’re feeling reflective and proud of the role Stanmart Film Services has played behind the scenes since the beginning.

For over two decades, we’ve supported Sydney’s most iconic fashion event with backstage equipment rentals including make-up mirrors, wardrobe racks, cheval mirrors, steamers, and chairs & trestles hire – ensuring the backstage creatives and crew have the tools they need to make the magic happen.

For much of this time, IMG Fashion served as the powerhouse behind the event’s production – elevating the show to international prestige and transforming it into a must-attend moment on the global fashion calendar. We’re grateful for the strong working relationship we built with IMG’s team, during the years. Stanmart would always be on standby for any changes or requests,  helping streamline the events backstage hair, makeup and wardrobe equipment.

This year marks a changing of the guard, with the Australian Fashion Council (AFC) taking a more prominent role in the event’s delivery. AFC’s involvement represents a fresh chapter – one focused on nurturing local talent and reshaping the national conversation around fashion, sustainability, and innovation.

What hasn’t changed, however, is the event’s stunning location. Carriageworks continues to provide a bold and industrial backdrop for the runway, standing proudly as one of Sydney’s most dynamic cultural venues. Its raw architecture and central location make it the perfect home for AFW’s unique blend of heritage and innovation.

While our products aren’t hitting the main stage this year due to a shift in supplier partnerships, our warehouse is stocked and ready to support the many surrounding events, brands, designer showcases, and private functions that make Fashion Week such a vibrant city-wide experience.
