Chroma key blue paint is the original technology that made Superman fly by separating background and foreground elements.

Chromakey blue paint, also known as “greenscreen” blue, is a specialized paint used for creating special effects in film, photography, and video production. The paint is a vibrant shade of blue, which makes it easy to separate and replace with a different background using chromakey technology. This allows filmmakers and photographers to insert different backgrounds or environments behind the subject, creating realistic and visually compelling scenes.

Juju’s Chroma Key range, although an analogue spectrum suits most applications providing the same properties your green or blue screen would without the cost and low coverage of the digital paints.

Whilst not providing as clean a key as digital paints it is still used professionally and is generally adequate for schools and amateur use. Ideally applied out of a white background it can be recoated without loss of luminance.

• Application is typically with a 10-12mm nap roller with a typical coverage of 12m2.
